Miguel Sanó hits two home runs in Japanese Baseball League

In the Japanese Baseball League, Dominican player Miguel Sanó led the Hiroshima Carp to an 11-4 victory over the Chunichi Dragons. Sanó went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs, bringing his season totals to 17 home runs and 36 RBIs.

In another matchup, Cuban pitcher Liván Moinelo earned his second win of the season, pitching six innings and allowing only one run and two hits to lead the SoftBank Hawks to a 7-1 win against the Nippon Ham Fighters. Venezuelan Darwinzon Hernández also contributed for the Hawks with a scoreless relief appearance.

At the Tokyo Dome, Alexander Canario hit his 11th home run of the season, helping the Seibu Lions defeat the Orix Buffaloes 7-4.
