Miguel Vargas sets historic Chicago White Sox statistical milestone

Miguel Vargas has achieved a historic statistical milestone for the Chicago White Sox during the 2026 season. He became the first player in franchise history to record at least 30 doubles, 30 home runs, 20 stolen bases, and 100 runs scored in a single season.

Vargas reached these marks following a performance against the Detroit Tigers, where he hit a solo home run and contributed defensively at third base. His season totals include 33 home runs, 31 doubles, 20 stolen bases, and 100 runs scored. While other White Sox players like Luis Robert Jr. and Magglio Ordonez previously recorded 30 doubles, 30 home runs, and 20 stolen bases, they did not reach the 100-run threshold.

Additionally, Vargas is the first White Sox hitter since 2006 to combine 30 home runs with 100 runs scored, a feat previously achieved by Jermaine Dye and Jim Thome.
