Mihaela Grădinariu and Ioan Țicalo pass away

The literary community in Suceava and Iași is mourning the deaths of poet, essayist, and literary critic Mihaela Grădinariu and her father, writer Ioan Țicalo. The two passed away on the same day, only hours apart.

Mihaela Grădinariu, aged 56, was a dedicated professor and a member of both the Writers' Union of Romania and the Bucovinian Writers' Society. Ioan Țicalo, aged 81, was also a prominent member of the Bucovinian Writers' Society. Both individuals were significant figures in the local cultural life of the Râșca and Suceava regions.
