Mihailo Jovićević removed as editor of Nova.rs

Mihailo Jovićević has been removed from his position as editor of the Nova.rs portal. This follows his dismissal in mid-August as director of United Media Digital, a company that operates Nova.rs, the newspaper Nova, and the weekly Radar.

Pedro Vargas Santos David, representing the Portuguese firm Alpac Capital, has taken over the directorship. Alpac Capital is in the process of acquiring the United Group media package in the region for approximately 30 million euros. The agreement includes obligations for the new owner to maintain editorial autonomy and establish management structures independent of political and commercial influences.

Management changes began before the formal transfer of Luxembourgish broadcasting licenses was completed. Most of the media business was transferred to the new owner via United Fiber, with ownership recorded under European Future Media Investments in the Luxembourg business register on August 24.
