Miharu City robbery murder suspect arrested, linked to earlier homicide

Police have arrested 29‑year‑old Kanata Kuramoto in connection with the March robbery‑murder of 29‑year‑old Masaki Tokuda, whose body was discovered on a company site in Miharu City. New investigation details show Tokuda was alive until about four hours before his death; he met the suspect early on the day of the crime and traveled together to the murder scene.

Investigators say Kuramoto and Tokuda were also involved as co‑accomplices in a February killing of remodeling‑company owner Kenichi Kawamoto in Higashihiroshima. The police continue to examine the full circumstances of both murders.

The case has drawn significant local attention as authorities work to untangle the suspected partnership between the two men.
