Miholjski susreti sela festivals to be held in Ogar and Opovo

The “Miholjski susreti sela” (Midsummer Village Encounters) festivals will take place in Ogar and Opovo, Serbia, celebrating rural traditions, culture, and local heritage.

In Ogar, the event is scheduled for September 26 at Aksentije’s cottage. The program focuses on the significance of corn in local life and includes creative workshops for children, folklore performances, and displays of handicrafts and traditional food by the “Ogarčanke” Women’s Association. Musical entertainment will be provided by the band “Matriks”.

In Opovo, the festivities run from September 25 to 27. The program features a fashion show by the “Omoljčanke” Women’s Association, an ethno-bazaar showcasing local crafts, and performances by folklore ensembles. Musical highlights include a concert by the “Opovački tamburaši” family group, and the event will conclude with the theatrical performance “Kabare Pavlov” at the Cultural Center.
