Mijin family receives new home in Iđoš through humanitarian aid

The Mijin family, led by Linda and her eight children, has been moved into a new home in the village of Iđoš. The family previously faced severe hardships, including frequent displacements due to landlords and living in a single room without electricity or running water while surviving on monthly income of 300 euros.

The humanitarian organization ‘Srbi za Srbe’ facilitated the acquisition of the house, which was subsequently renovated. The property features six rooms, two bathrooms, and a large yard, providing each child with their own room. The renovation included plastering, painting, installing laminate flooring, and PVC joinery, and the home was fully equipped with furniture and appliances.

In addition to the house, the family received a 20-are plot of land with various auxiliary buildings and a garage, offering potential for self-sufficiency. The total value of the assistance provided is 4,761,934 dinars. The family is also preparing for the return of two-year-old Ljubica, who is currently in foster care and expected to reunite with her siblings by the end of June.
