Mika Godts vows to stay at Ajax, praises new structure and eyes title challenge
Mika Godts told Ziggo Sport that he does not expect to leave Ajax this summer and is very happy with the club’s new technical staff. He highlighted that the team now has "much more" structure on and off the field and believes the improved environment will help the young squad succeed.
The 21‑year‑old Belgian forward also said he wants to help Ajax fight for the Eredivisie title this season. While he remains realistic about a possible future move to a top‑level club, he stressed his current focus is on delivering a good season for Ajax. Godts has been nominated for the Johan Cruijff Talent of the Year award after being named Talent of the Month three times this campaign and contributing to 29 Eredivisie goals (17 scores and 12 assists).
