Singer Mika Nakashima discussed her 25-year career and her approach to music during an appearance on the TOKYO FM radio program ‘KANEKA Good Chemistry’. As she approaches her 25th major debut anniversary in November 2026, Nakashima reflected on how her perspective on songs has evolved through experience.

She shared that she realized the weight of her profession when fans told her that her music had changed their lives, prompting her to take her responsibilities more seriously. Nakashima noted that while her vocal quality has changed, her emotional connection to lyrics—particularly older romance songs—often shifts toward themes of familial love as she matures.

Nakashima also provided details regarding her new single, ‘Inori, Owareba’, which serves as the ending theme for the anime ‘Mushoku Tensei III’. The track was written and composed by Shinoda of the band Hitorie. She described the music video as a free-spirited production filmed in a park at night, designed to convey the deep love within the song through a sense of innocent joy.
