Mike Batiste returns to Panathinaikos as assistant coach

Panathinaikos announced that former player Mike Batiste will rejoin the club's technical staff, signing a three‑year contract as an assistant coach under head coach Zeljko Obradovic. The club shared the news on Instagram, adding the caption “Legends never leave” and “Welcome back home”.

Batiste, 49, spent a decade in the NBA as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors. He previously played for Panathinaikos from 2003‑2012 and 2013‑14, helping the team win nine Greek league titles, seven Greek Cups and three EuroLeague championships.
