Mike Batiste returns to Panathinaikos as assistant coach on three‑year deal
Former Panathinaikos star Mike Batiste is set to rejoin the Greek club, this time as a member of the coaching staff. The club and Batiste have reached a three‑year agreement that will see him work under head coach Zeljko Obradović. The arrangement was hinted at by Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos, who posted about the forthcoming move on social media.
Batiste, who helped the team win three EuroLeague titles, nine Greek championships and seven Greek Cups during his playing career, later served as an assistant coach for several NBA teams. His return marks a new chapter in his long‑standing relationship with the organization and is expected to be officially announced in the near future.
