Mike Colter discusses Luke Cage return and Defenders reunion

Actor Mike Colter has discussed his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Luke Cage, noting that his character appeared in the second season finale of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and will play a larger role in the third season.

Colter likened the anticipated reunion of the ‘Defenders’—which is expected to include Finn Jones as Iron Fist—to the reunion of legendary musical acts like Oasis or ABBA. He stated that while the return was not a personal obsession, he is happy to participate to bring joy to long-time fans who have campaigned for the characters' return since the cancellation of their original Netflix series.

Production for the third season of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ reportedly wrapped in July, following set photos that suggested a reunion of the street-level heroes.
