Baltimore Orioles' Mike Elias expects to remain in role

Baltimore Orioles president of baseball operations Mike Elias expects to remain in his role for the 2027 season and may look to expand the team’s front office. Despite a period of success, including a 101-61 record and an AL East title in 2023, the team has faced recent struggles, finishing the 2025 season with a losing record.

Elias indicated that manager Craig Albernaz is also expected to return for the upcoming season. The team's recent decline follows a period of high expectations, with the current roster attempting to bridge the talent gap left by the successful 2023 squad. While players like Pete Alonso have provided significant value, other key contributors have faced regression or injury challenges.
