San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans plans to play in the team’s Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams despite dealing with injuries throughout training camp. According to reports from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Evans’ most recent injury is a groin issue that is currently considered minor.

Evans’ availability is critical for the 49ers' offense, as the wide receiver room has been impacted by other injuries, including Ricky Pearsall, who is out for the season. The veteran receiver, who is entering his first season with San Francisco after a long tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will be a primary target alongside Deebo Samuel and rookie De'Zhaun Stribling.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that starters are not expected to play in the upcoming preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders, as the team prepares for the regular season opener on September 10.
