Mike James explains decision to join Anadolu Efes

Mike James has detailed the reasons behind his high-profile move to Anadolu Efes, marking one of the most significant EuroLeague transfers of the summer. The 36-year-old American guard joins the Istanbul-based club following a five-year tenure with Monaco.

During EuroLeague Media Day, James emphasized that the decision was driven by the vision presented by head coach Pablo Laso and the club's management. He noted that the team's roster construction and the opportunity to compete for titles were decisive factors. James expressed enthusiasm for the team's flexibility and depth, stating, “I wanted to be somewhere where I felt I would have the chance to win, and I just felt that Efes offers me that.”
