The Los Angeles Angels activated center‑fielder Mike Trout from the 10‑day injured list on Wednesday, ending a right hamstring strain he suffered on June 17 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Trout, who has appeared in 74 games this season, is batting .234 with 17 homers, 36 RBIs, 12 doubles, seven stolen bases and a .866 OPS. His activation makes him eligible to start for the American League in the 2026 MLB All‑Star Game on July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia – the first All‑Star appearance he has made since 2019 and a venue only about 45 miles from his New‑Jersey hometown.

Trout, a 12‑time All‑Star and three‑time AL MVP, will line up as a designated hitter against the Texas Rangers in the Angels’ road series. The team also designated infielder Donovan Walton for assignment as part of the roster move. With his return, Trout is on pace for a potential 30‑plus‑home‑run season, a milestone he has not reached since 2022.
