Mike Trout embraces hometown spotlight at MLB All-Star Game

The Major League Baseball All‑Star Game was played at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, the home field of Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout. The American League defeated the National League 4–0, with former Dodger Cody Bellinger earning MVP honors after a two‑run single in the first inning.

Trout went 0‑for‑3 but was greeted with a bear hug from teammate Freddie Freeman after his final at‑bat, and Freeman addressed the NL roster before the game. Players shared moments with fans, including children riding bicycles onto the field and Trout offering swing tips.

The event featured numerous tributes to Trout’s career, comments about savoring each moment, and interactions with his two sons and young players such as Detroit Tigers rookie shortstop Kevin McGonigle. While Philadelphia fans booed opposing players, they gave Trout a warm ovation.
