Mike Trout Sets MLB Record with Sixth Birthday Home Run
On August 7, 2026, Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout celebrated his 35th birthday by hitting a 400‑foot solo home run in the first inning against the Miami Marlins. The blast was his 19th of the season, drove in his 41st run, and marked his 423rd career home run.
The homer made Trout the first player in Major League Baseball history to hit a home run on six separate birthdays, tying the league record for most birthday homers (six) previously shared by Alex Rodriguez, Mark Reynolds and others. The Angels entered the series with the league’s worst record (44‑71) and used the early surge to try to rebound, while the Marlins were 58‑58 and on a three‑game losing streak.
