Mike Tyson delivers Sean Combs' pardon request to Donald Trump
Mike Tyson has confirmed that he personally delivered a letter from incarcerated music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to President Donald Trump. Tyson revealed the details during an interview on SiriusXM’s ‘Andy Cohen Live,’ stating that Combs requested the favor during a phone conversation. While the specific contents of the letter remain undisclosed, it is understood to be a request for a presidential pardon.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence for crimes related to the transportation of individuals for prostitution. Tyson expressed surprise at the legal proceedings against Combs, specifically citing the use of the Mann Act, a federal law dating back to 1910.
President Trump, a longtime friend and former associate of Tyson, acknowledged receiving a letter from Combs in January but has expressed doubts regarding a pardon, citing past criticisms made by the rapper against him. Tyson and Trump, whose relationship dates back to the 1980s when Trump promoted several of Tyson’s boxing matches, were seen together at the White House before traveling to a campaign rally in Syracuse, New York.
