Mike Tyson: Netflix releases new docuseries and comedy special

Netflix has released new content featuring former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, including a four-part docuseries titled “TYSON” and a comedy special.

The docuseries, directed by Floyd Russ, provides a detailed look at Tyson’s life, from his difficult childhood in Brooklyn to his historic achievement of becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in 1986. The series explores his professional rise under trainer Cus D’Amato, his subsequent legal troubles, including a 1992 conviction, and his controversial career moments such as the 1997 fight against Evander Holyfield.

Complementing the documentary is a comedy special recorded at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida. Directed by Lakiha Kiki Spencer, the special features Tyson using humor and irony to recount his life experiences, addressing topics such as fame, mental health, and past controversies.
