Mike Tyson's Ferrari F50 to be auctioned at RM Sotheby's Monterey, $7‑9 million estimate

The 1995 Ferrari F50 that was delivered to boxing legend Mike Tyson in February 1996 is headed to RM Sotheby's Monterey auction on 15 August. The chassis 104220, one of just 55 U.S.‑spec examples, has logged only about 9,650 km and will be offered without reserve. The auction house has set an estimate of US$7 million to US$9 million.

The car changed hands several times after Tyson’s brief ownership, passing through a series of American collectors before entering the estate of its most recent owner, who has now placed it in the auction pool. Technical details noted include a naturally aspirated 4.7‑liter V12 derived from Ferrari’s 1992 Formula 1 engine, a carbon‑fiber monocoque, and a six‑speed manual gearbox. The sale is expected to attract supercar enthusiasts and high‑net‑worth bidders.
