Mike Vrabel penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct in Patriots win

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct during a 29-26 victory over the Buffalo Bills. The penalty occurred in the second quarter after Vrabel protested a defensive holding call against Marcus Jones.

Vrabel admitted to using profanity while telling the official the call was terrible, but suggested the referee was being “a little sensitive.” Referee Bill Vinovich stated that Vrabel left the box to confront the official, noting that the use of such language made a warning unnecessary.

Despite the penalty, the Patriots secured the win behind a performance from quarterback Drake Maye, who threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns. The victory moves the Patriots to a 2-2 record for the season.
