Mikel Arteta names Okocha and Ronaldinho most skilful teammates

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has identified Jay-Jay Okocha and Ronaldinho as the most skilful players he encountered during his professional playing career. The comments stem from Arteta’s time at Paris Saint-Germain during the 2001/02 season, when he played alongside both the Nigerian legend and the Brazilian icon.

In an interview with SportBible, Arteta noted the difficulty of choosing between the two, stating, “The most skilful? Ronaldinho or JJ Okocha, both of them. Very difficult to pick one of those two.” He also joked about the physical demands of playing behind such creative players, noting the amount of ground he had to cover whenever the team lost possession.

Beyond technical ability, Arteta shared light-hearted reflections on his former teammates' personalities, naming Ronaldinho as the funniest player and identifying Frédéric Déhu as the best-dressed teammate.
