Mikel Arteta signs contract extension with Arsenal until 2030
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has signed a contract extension that keeps him at the club until 2030. The new agreement follows a period of significant success, including leading the club to its first Premier League title in 22 years and reaching a Champions League final.
Under the new terms, Arteta has received a substantial pay increase. Reports indicate his base salary has risen to approximately £20 million (roughly €23.6 million) per year, with potential bonuses bringing his total annual compensation to around £25 million (€30 million). This makes him one of the highest-paid managers in world football and the highest-paid coach in the United Kingdom.
Arteta, who joined the club in December 2019, stated that the extension reflects a shared belief in the club’s progress and that the current achievements are “only the beginning of what we can achieve together.”
