Mikel Landa and Tadej Pogacar set for Tour de Suisse comebacks

Spanish climber Mikel Landa returns to racing after a fall in the Basque Country’s race that left him with a small pelvic fracture and forced him to miss the Giro d’Italia. Two months of rehabilitation has cleared him to start the Tour de Suisse (17‑21 June) with the Soudal Quick‑Step squad, where he hopes to sharpen his form ahead of the Tour de France.

World champion Tadej Pogacar, fresh from a high‑altitude training camp in Spain’s Sierra Nevada, also confirms his participation. He expressed confidence in his preparation, saying the individual and team training sessions have gone well and that he looks forward to the Swiss race as the final tune‑up before the Tour. Both riders aim to build fitness and morale for the upcoming Grand Tour, supported by their teammates and team directors.

The Tour de Suisse will feature five stages with varied terrain, offering a key test for Landa’s recovery and Pogacar’s form as they target success in the season’s premier race.
