Mikel Landa ruled out of Tour de France after pelvic fracture

Spanish climber Mikel Landa will miss the 2026 Tour de France after a crash in the Itzulia race. On the descent of San Miguel de Aralar he was struck by a medical car, sustaining a pelvic fracture that was confirmed after medical examinations. The injury also prevented him from starting the Giro d'Italia and forced an early withdrawal from the Tour de Suisse.

Soudal Quick‑Step announced its roster for the Tour, confirming that Landa is not among the selected riders. The setback adds to a history of accidents for the former Vuelta a España stage winner, who has previously suffered vertebral, clavicle and other fractures in earlier races.
