Mikey Doble wins BTCC qualifying race at Silverstone

Mikey Doble secured victory in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) qualifying race at Silverstone. Driving a Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon, Doble took pole position during the timed sessions and successfully navigated the race to claim the win.

Daryl De Leon, driving a West Surrey Racing BMW, initially led the race after a strong start but eventually fell behind due to tyre temperature issues. The race was interrupted by a safety car period following Osamu Kawashima’s excursion into the gravel at Becketts. After the restart, Doble extended his lead, ultimately leading a 1-2 finish for the Power Maxed Racing team as teammate Aiden Moffat also secured a high position.

Other notable performances included Ash Sutton, who worked to recover through the field after an early spin, and Gordon Shedden, who climbed five positions during the event.
