Mikey Madison discusses role as Frances Haugen in ‘The Social Reckoning’

Actress Mikey Madison has discussed her preparation for playing Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen in Aaron Sorkin’s upcoming film, ‘The Social Reckoning’. Madison described the role as requiring an ‘intellectual transformation’ rather than a focus on physical resemblance.

Madison noted that the character requires significant emotional restraint, a process she described as both ‘intriguing’ and ‘a little bit scary’. The film follows Haugen and journalist Jeff Horwitz as they investigate Facebook’s internal awareness regarding misinformation, extremist content, and the impact of Instagram on teenagers.

‘The Social Reckoning’ is scheduled for release on October 9.
