Mikie Sherrill ranks among top US governors as Trump approval dips in New Jersey

A Morning Consult poll indicates that New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill is among the most popular state executives in the United States. Sherrill holds a 55% approval rating against a 30% disapproval rating, resulting in a net positive balance of 25 points. This places her tied for 12th among all 50 governors and 8th among Democratic governors.

In contrast, Donald Trump holds a negative popularity balance in New Jersey, with a 38% approval rating and a 59% disapproval rating, a net balance of -21 points. This reflects a two-point decline since the first quarter of the year. Among New Jersey voters, Trump maintains a +66 balance with Republicans, but falls to -79 among Democrats and -39 among independents.

Democratic Senators Cory Booker and Andy Kim also maintain positive approval ratings. Booker holds a 53% approval and 33% disapproval rating (+19 net), while Kim holds a 49% approval and 27% disapproval rating (+22 net). Both senators maintain positive standing among independent voters.
