Miklós Fenyő: Hungarian rock icon passes away at 78

Hungarian rock and roll icon Miklós Fenyő, the legendary frontman of the band Hungária, passed away at the age of 78. Following his death, his children, Dáci and Dió, shared reflections on his private life, describing him as a sensitive and family-oriented individual who preferred quiet domestic rituals and family time over his high-energy public persona.

A memorial concert titled ‘Egy furcsa pár’ will be held at the Margitsziget Open Air Stage on August 29. The event, featuring Róbert Szikora and the band R-GO, serves as a tribute to Fenyő’s enduring legacy. Singer Szandi, a longtime colleague and mentee of Fenyő, will appear as a special guest to perform a tribute song, marking an emotional milestone for the Hungarian music community.
