Mila Thomas seeks funding for specialist walker
Mila Thomas, a nine-year-old girl living with tuberous sclerosis, is seeking assistance to acquire a specialist piece of medical equipment. Mila suffered significant brain damage following a stroke and a two-hour seizure in 2019, which left her unable to walk and reliant on a wheelchair.
Her family is raising funds for an InnerWalk, a specialist walker designed to support the head and body while enabling walking motions. The equipment costs £30,000. To meet this goal, the family has launched a GoFundMe page, and supporters are organizing fundraising events, including a participant running the Dublin Marathon.
