Fiera Ice Arena opens in Milan for ice sports

Fondazione Fiera Milano has inaugurated the Fiera Ice Arena, a new multi-functional facility dedicated to ice sports. Built with a 7 million euro investment, the arena is intended to serve as a lasting sporting legacy of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

The facility has received FISG-CONI certification for seven disciplines, including ice hockey, figure skating, short track, para ice hockey, curling, wheelchair curling, and stock sport. It is designed to be accessible to the public, families, and young athletes, offering training and recreational skating.

The Milano Hockey Club is set to make its home debut at the arena with a match against Hockey Club Innsbruck in the Ice Hockey League. This marks the return of professional hockey to Milan after several years. The arena is expected to become a permanent hub for ice sports in the Lombardy region.
