Milan families adopt Bsit app for digital childcare services

In Milan, the search for childcare is increasingly moving toward digital platforms. The Bsit app, a collaborative platform founded in Brussels, is connecting parents with babysitters across various city districts, replacing traditional word-of-mouth methods.

The platform allows families to share evaluations and recommendations regarding punctuality, responsibility, and empathy. Data shows a specific geographic distribution of demand across Milan's municipalities, with Municipio 3 (Città Studi, Lambrate, Porta Venezia) leading with 16.7% of active babysitters, followed by Municipio 1 at 13.7% and Municipio 9 at 12.3%. This digital shift responds to changing social structures and the needs of the city's 780,000 families, many of whom lack traditional local support networks.
