Milan hosts Milano Digital Week to explore generative city concepts

The ninth edition of Milano Digital Week is scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 4. The event focuses on the theme of the “generative city,” a concept where technology is used to create shared value, foster connections, and stimulate innovation rather than being an end in itself.

Artificial Intelligence is positioned as a tool to improve public services, support business competitiveness, and increase administrative efficiency. Milan aims to leverage its status as a major Italian innovation hub—home to startups, research centers, and large technology companies—to model urban development, smart mobility, and data-driven sustainability.
