Italy reports multiple incidents of domestic violence and serious crime

Authorities in Italy have responded to several violent incidents involving domestic abuse, stalking, and sexual assault. In Busnago, a 40-year-old man was arrested for allegedly terrorizing his former partner for six years through physical and psychological abuse, including sending macabre images and damaging her vehicle.

In Agerola, a 30-year-old man has been placed under house arrest with an electronic bracelet following allegations of stalking and aggravated personal injury against his former partner, a woman in her twenties. The investigation suggests the harassment stemmed from obsessive jealousy and began in 2021.

In Milan, a 31-year-old Peruvian national remains in custody for the brutal sexual assault of a 21-year-old Erasmus student near Trotter Park. A judge described the victim as being treated as an “object” during the attack.

Tragedy also struck Tortona, where a 30-year-old Russian woman was arrested for the stabbing death of her three-year-old daughter. The incident occurred amid a difficult separation and a struggle over child custody. Additionally, in the Viterbese area, a 44-year-old man was arrested for stalking and threatening his former partner and her minor children, including breaking into her home.
