Milano Teatro City festival to debut in October

The first edition of Milano Teatro City is set to debut from October 15 to 18, 2026. Promoted by the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with Fondazione Milano, AGIS Lombarda, and supported by the Ministry of Culture, the festival aims to showcase the city's diverse theatrical landscape.

The event will involve 49 theaters presenting a total of 230 appointments, including 174 shows, 10 meetings, 20 workshops, and 12 free guided tours. The program features a wide range of activities, from large productions and research theater to dance, musicals, and performances for younger generations.

In addition to organized theater venues, the festival will transform the city into an open-air stage across nine municipalities, featuring improvised scenes, readings, and urban art installations. Specific highlights include commemorative readings and performances designed to engage various neighborhoods and communities.
