Milan launches public consultation for future M6 metro line

The city of Milan has initiated a participatory process to gather public input, proposals, and observations regarding the development of the future M6 metro line. The initiative aims to connect the needs of local neighborhoods with the technical and economic evaluations required to define the project.

During a presentation held on October 24, officials presented six potential scenarios for expanding the metropolitan network. These include the 2018 Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PUMS) scenario, orbital hypotheses, two M2 line extension variants, and a circular line option. The consultation seeks to involve residents, commuters, associations, and technical experts to refine design choices while considering infrastructure constraints and quality of life.
