Milan Malpensa: Usb union protests following worker dismissals

The Usb union has organized a protest at Milan Malpensa Airport following the dismissal of two Sea employees in August. The union describes the disciplinary proceedings as being based on “inconsistent contentions” and claims the dismissals were carried out with “pretextual and disproportionate” motivations.

Usb is calling for the reinstatement of the workers and has requested intervention from the Municipality of Milan, which is the majority shareholder of the airport operator, Sea. The union also highlighted broader concerns regarding working conditions at Sea-managed airports, citing staff reductions, outsourcing, and insufficient wages.
