Milan: Man arrested for sexual assault of Colombian tourist

A 25-year-old man of Peruvian origin has been arrested in Milan following the sexual assault of a 21-year-old Colombian tourist. The incident occurred during the night between August 9 and August 10, 2026.

The victim, who had recently arrived in the city and was navigating the streets with a dead mobile phone, reportedly sought assistance from the man after becoming disoriented. Investigators state that the man offered to accompany her, which turned out to be a trap. The assault took place in an apartment in the Calvairate area, specifically on via del Turchino near the Ortomercato.

The victim has reported the incident and is receiving support from relevant services. The investigation is being coordinated by the Milan Prosecutor's Office.
