Milan metropolitan area to activate new speed cameras

The Metropolitan City of Milan will activate new speed control systems on August 31, 2026, as part of the ‘Milan Metropolitan Safety Project’. These measures aim to increase road safety, prevent accidents, and encourage responsible driving.

The new speed cameras will be installed on several major arteries, including the Paullese (between Mediglia and Peschiera Borromeo toward Milan), the Rivoltana (between Pioltello and Rodano in both directions), and the Cassanese (sections between Vignate, Cassina de’ Pecchi, Melzo, and Gorgonzola).

This initiative aligns with European Union goals to halve the number of fatalities and serious injuries on roads by 2030. The devices, approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, will be managed via the Titan® platform, allowing local police to monitor traffic flows and manage infractions.
