Milan mural dedicated to Franco Baresi vandalized

A new mural dedicated to legendary AC Milan captain Franco Baresi in Milan has been vandalized for the second time in less than a month. The artwork, located in Piazza Gino Valle near the club's headquarters, was defaced with black paint.

The vandals targeted specific iconic elements of the tribute, including the captain's armband, the AC Milan crest on the shorts, and the Champions League trophy. This incident follows a previous act of vandalism in late September, which prompted artist Luca Rosada, known as Lucas Street Art, to create a larger, more impactful version of the piece using the paste-up technique.

The new version had only recently been inaugurated on October 10. Following the latest attack, Rosada expressed his intention to repair the work again, stating he would not give up in his respect for Baresi. Local fans and officials have expressed outrage over the repeated insults to the memory of the former captain.
