Milan museum hosts sustainable energy workshops for children

More than 150 children from after‑school programs in Milan and its metropolitan area are taking part in a series of hands‑on workshops at the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci. The initiative, organised by Caritas Ambrosiana’s Energy Poverty area together with the renewable‑energy community SOLEdarietà, aims to raise awareness of responsible energy use and renewable‑energy cooperatives.

During the sessions, volunteers demonstrate different forms of energy, transformation processes and simple actions families can adopt to reduce consumption. Participants also learn how a community energy model can generate clean power while creating economic resources for vulnerable households. The program, funded in part by a Sustainability Award, seeks to foster critical thinking, STEM interest and active citizenship among young people.
