Milan Đorđević missing in Serbia and Ešef Džananović's exhumation search in Bosnia
Milan Đorđević, a 36‑year‑old pharmacist from Niš, Serbia, vanished on 10 June 2024 after a brief coffee with his mother, Marica Đorđević, and telling her he had to go to work. Over two years later, his family, friends and police continue to search for him. A recovered phone yielded only deleted messages and calls, and his mother has repeatedly appealed for any information that could locate her son.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ešef Džananović has spent 34 years searching for the remains of his family members – two minor sons, his wife, mother and sister. An exhumation was recently carried out in his yard in Donje Garevce near Prijedor, overseen by the Bosnian Prosecutor’s Office and local police. The dig uncovered shoes and clothing but no remains of the five relatives. Džananović hopes to preserve the recovered items in a personal museum and continues to seek closure for his long‑standing loss.
