Milan Pawelec competes in Moto2 Grand Prix of Japan
Milan Pawelec, the 19-year-old European Moto2 champion, completed the Grand Prix of Japan in 24th position. This marked his fourth appearance in the Moto2 World Championship this year.
Pawelec joined the factory Red Bull KTM Ajo team as a substitute for the injured Collin Veijera. Traveling directly from Aragon, Spain, where he recently secured his second consecutive European Moto2 title, the rider faced the challenge of adapting to the Twin Ring Motegi circuit and a motorcycle setup tailored to a different riding style.
After starting from 27th position, Pawelec steadily improved his lap times throughout the 19-lap race, setting his best lap on the final circuit. He described the experience as a valuable lesson and a significant motivation for his future career, despite the difficulty of adapting to a new technical package in a short timeframe.
