Milan to host EASD diabetes congress and public health events

Milan will host the 62nd Congress of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) from September 28 to October 2. To complement the scientific meeting, a series of public health initiatives titled ‘Lasting health starts now’ will take place across the city to promote diabetes prevention and awareness.

Key community events include free health screenings and the 21st edition of the 5K@Easd run, scheduled for October 1 starting from Piazza Burri. Additionally, a hot air balloon will be stationed at the MiCo congress center to serve as a visible symbol for health awareness, offering citizens the opportunity to participate in an experience designed to encourage healthier lifestyle choices.
