Milan to host second short-term rental summit
The second edition of the 'Stati Generali degli Affitti Brevi' will take place on October 26 and 27 at the Teatro Nazionale in Milan. Organized by the Italian Association of Short-Term Rental Managers (AIGAB), the event is expected to draw approximately 900 industry operators and 31 speakers.
The summit aims to address critical challenges facing the short-term rental sector, including municipal restrictions in cities such as Florence, Venice, Bologna, Rome, Naples, and Rimini, as well as European Union regulations and taxation. Discussions will also cover market growth strategies, mergers and acquisitions, luxury segments, and the relationship between short-term rentals and the residential housing market.
Institutional participants include Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, and Vice President of the European Parliament Antonella Sberna. The event is held under the patronage of the European Parliament and several Italian ministries.
