Milan to unveil sculpture honoring motorcycle racer Luca Salvadori

A five-meter-high sculpture titled ‘Le Pieghe’ will be inaugurated in Milan on September 14, 2026, to honor the memory of Italian motorcycle racer Luca Salvadori. Created by international artist Nicola Samori, the artwork is designed to symbolically represent Salvadori’s sporting and biographical experiences through the artistic theme of the curve.

The sculpture will be located in the green space between the twin curves of Viale Pietro and Maria Curie, the area where Salvadori took his first turns as a child.

Salvadori, a MotoE World Championship competitor and content creator associated with Ducati, passed away in September 2024 following a fatal accident during an event in Frohburg, Germany. Following his death, his parents, Maurizio and Monica, established the Luca Salvadori Foundation. The foundation aims to support motorcyclists and their families who have been victims of accidents on tracks or roads by providing rehabilitation, psychological, and legal assistance, while promoting safety culture within motorsports.
