Milania Giudice requests trial delay for domestic violence case
Milania Giudice, the 20-year-old daughter of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, appeared virtually in Montville Township Municipal Court on Tuesday regarding a domestic violence arrest from May.
Her attorney, Alan Kraminsky, requested a postponement of the assault trial to allow Giudice to complete anger management classes. The judge noted that the state must first review discovery and interview responding officers before a final ruling on the delay is made. While the judge initially suggested a September 22 date, the court ultimately set the next hearing for September 29 to accommodate Giudice’s school schedule in Florida.
Giudice has pleaded not guilty to charges of simple assault and knowingly causing bodily injury. The incident, which occurred on May 14 at her mother’s New Jersey home, allegedly involved Giudice striking a victim in the head with her fist and throwing food and candles. Her sister, Gabriella Giudice, reportedly called 911 after witnessing the erratic behavior. If convicted, Giudice faces potential penalties including up to six months in jail, probation, and fines exceeding $500.
