Milan Fashion Week 2026 begins with Vogue World spectacle
Milan Fashion Week 2026 is underway, running from September 22 to 28. The week features over 200 scheduled appointments, including 61 runway shows and 88 presentations, focusing on the Spring/Summer 2027 women's collections.
The event kicked off with Vogue World 2026: Milano, held at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Themed ‘The Human Touch in the Age of Technology,’ the spectacle explored the intersection of Italian craftsmanship and digital innovation. The event drew high-profile attendees, including Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell, and Monica Bellucci, and featured performances by figures such as Roberto Bolle.
Economic projections suggest the fashion week will generate significant tourism spending, estimated to exceed 219 million euros. While the number of domestic visitors is expected to decrease, international visitor numbers are projected to rise by 22%. The week also includes cultural initiatives such as the ‘Dalí e la Moda’ exhibition at Palazzo Reale and various public events, including shows by Antonio Marras that offer more accessible entry than traditional invite-only runways.
