Milan Linate Airport: Service vehicle strikes private jet

A ground service vehicle collided with a private Hawker Beechcraft 400A jet taxiing at Milan Linate Airport on August 10, 2026. The collision occurred in the airside area while the aircraft was moving toward the runway.

No injuries were reported among the aircraft occupants or the driver of the service vehicle, which was identified as a Fiat Panda belonging to a ground handling company. The impact caused damage to the nose of the jet and the front of the vehicle. One report suggested the driver may have experienced a sudden health issue, though authorities are still investigating the exact cause.

The incident led to a suspension of airport operations for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. During this time, two incoming flights were diverted: one to Bergamo-Orio al Serio and another to Milan Malpensa Airport. Local police and fire services attended the scene to secure the area and conduct investigations.
